Ethiopia Orphan: March 20, 2008 Broadcast.
Thursday, March 20, 2008
Guest: Tom Mustico, HOE Ministries Inc.
The discussion will center around HOE Ministries, 501-c3 non-profit corporation and the work we do with and for the orphan children in Ethiopia. There are countless numbers of orphaned and homeless children throughout the country of Ethiopia. Approximately 50% of the 75,000,000 population are under the age of 18, an enormous number of which are homeless living in abject poverty or have been orphaned as a result of the AIDS pandemic. There is great need in Ethiopia which can only be as met with aid and support from the affluent countries of the world, and more specifically, the Christian community right here in the USA, starting in our own backyard.
I will share stories from the children I have encountered in my trips to Ethiopia as well as what I saw during my travels. Poverty is more than just being poor, it is a death sentence, a life without hope. Children living with no hope and most traumatized by helplessly living through the horror of watching their parents slowly and painfully die from this dreadful disease.
There is much to be done on their behalf and we have the ability come along to protect, rescue and equip these little ones. I plan to speak on behalf of millions of voiceless voices crying out for compassion.
Blessings,
Tom Mustico
