Brits Feel Threatened

MOSCOW (SPT) — British security services have identified Russia as the greatest threat to Britain after al-Qaida terrorism and Iranian nuclear proliferation, the Times of London reported Friday.

British security officials fear that agents from the Federal Security Service, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces have flooded Britain, forcing authorities there to divert valuable resources to battle Russian espionage, the newspaper said.

Witnessing Russia's behavior in the last few days, I am left confused.

I understand the idiotic moves made by the US State Department in regard to missile defense were not in any way intelligent, or helpful, but Russia appears to be behaving with a mistaken sense of power it simply does not possess, striking out in what appears to be a series of premature, amatuerish moves, preplexing, really.

I would question the veracity of such political strategy if I weren't familiar with the Bush/Cheney/neocon theatrics, the neocons being insipid, THAT stupid, a stupidity heretofore unseen in modern day western politics.

Why in the world would Putin imitate Bush?

Is it the influence of big business?
